Recently almost everyday we read in newspaper there are people died after commit suicide. It seems that commit suicide is easy, acceptable and the best way to die. The community seems to accept the condition. Even though in Balinese Hindu belief view suicide as an unacceptable act, the way to die that cannot happen and not accepted by the God. Died after commit suicide only left family a bad deed.
Looking at this problem, Suryani Institute for Mental Health will held a book launching on preventing suicide wrote by Professor Luh Ketut Suryani and Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, MD title “Hidup Bahagia: Perjuangan Melawan Kegelapan”. The event will be held on Saturday, 18 October 2008, from 09.00-12.00 at Wantilan of Parlement House in Renon Civic Center. The event is open for public especially for the people who want to help their families to fight against the darkness. For more information please contact Tesna at (0361) 467553, office hours.
